Mandate of the Virtual School Society
- To make British Columbia a recognized world leader in the delivery of educational programs through distributed learning.
- To enhance the achievement of students by:
- providing leadership in development and delivery of educational programs; developing courses, standards and delivery mechanisms;
- conducting research in distributed learning;
- developing and maintaining a registration web site;
- providing services to students;
- providing advice to the MED and to school boards; and
- providing similar or related services as determined by the membership
